About Us

Bruno Mahfuz, the founder of Wheelguide, became a wheelchair user in 2001. Since then, he has gone through many adverse situations due to the lack of accessibility making him realize that an “Accessible Experience” is not merely restricted to compliance and technical norms. It depends on many practices involving infrastructure, services and, most importantly, a society’s awareness on this matter. As a result of his experiences, guiaderodas was born, a company aiming to inform and raise awareness on mobility difficulties to the public as well as evaluate buildings based on their accessibility with the goal to provide a more autonomous way of living for everyone.

WHEN AN IDEA IS GOOD, IT IS GOOD FOR EVERYONE.

Certification for building accessibility

Technical, functional and attitudinal evaluation

Wheelguide Certification Process

How it works

Occupants' opinion

People who work or live in the building also review it through the Wheelguide App. The survey measures the level of user satisfaction and knowledge about the environment’s accessibility.

Experts Assessment

Architects experts in accessibility assess the spaces from a technical perspective. Items that do not comply with the basic accessibility conditions and rules, as well as solutions to solve them.

Training

To improve customer service and overall experience, Wheelguide offers the Attitudinal Accessibility Training, with both in person or mobile versions.

Wheelguide Certification

A report of the results of each step is presented. If the minimum criteria are met, the company or building is awarded the Certification.
