The beginning

Wheelguide is a technology company in favor of accessibility. Born out of the need of its founder, Bruno Mahfuz, a wheelchair user since 2001, Wheelguide aims to provide a more autonomous and inclusive life for all.

The community

Through our collaborative platforms for the dissemination of knowledge and information, Wheelguide is currently the largest community of people and companies working for accessibility.

Wheelguide App

With the Wheelguide app, anyone can evaluate or consult the physical accessibility of the places they visit. Sites can be rated as “green”, accessible, “yellow”, partially accessible, or “red”, inaccessible. The information recorded in the app provides predictability so that people with disabilities or mobility restrictions can better plan their destinations and encourage poorly rated establishments to improve their structure and service to welcome everyone. The app already has reviews in more than 2000 cities spread over almost every country in the world.

Accessibility is good for everyone

Wheelguide Certification

For companies and buildings that already recognize accessibility as a strategic differential, there is the Wheelguide Certification, a program that recognizes the best accessibility practices. The professional assessment includes technical standards, space functionality tests, training and engagement campaigns through the app, allowing all regulars to also participate in the process.

Recently, Bruno Mahfuz was selected by MIT Technology Review as one of the greatest innovators under the age of 35 in Latin America for his recognition of the development of new technologies to solve the world’s biggest problems.
